Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We strive to follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, aiming for Level AA conformance across core user journeys.

Conformance Status

We are continuously improving our site. Some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA; we welcome your feedback to prioritize fixes.

Measures We Take

• Design and code reviews with accessibility checks (color contrast, heading order, labels, landmarks).
• Keyboard-only navigation and visible focus states; skip links such as Skip to content.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
• Semantic HTML with ARIA only where needed.
• Responsive layout and text that reflows without loss of content.
• Captioning/transcripts for time-based media we publish.
• Periodical audits using automated tools and manual testing, including screen readers.

Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology

Our website is designed to be compatible with modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and to work with common assistive technologies (screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver) on current operating systems. Some older browsers may not fully support modern HTML/CSS/ARIA features.

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of our site relies on the following technologies to work: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. We aim to avoid content that causes seizures or physical reactions (e.g., flashing that exceeds WCAG thresholds).

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some third-party or legacy content may have issues. We monitor and aim to resolve these quickly.

• Embedded third-party media & widgets: Players, maps, or scheduling tools may have their own accessibility constraints. We select vendors with accessibility roadmaps and provide alternatives where possible.
• Older PDFs or documents: Some may lack full tagging. On request, we will provide accessible alternative formats at no charge.

Formal Complaints

If you believe your accessibility concern has not been addressed satisfactorily, please include “Accessibility Feedback” in your subject line when emailing kcox@brookstoneadvisor.com. Provide the page URL, a brief description of the issue, the assistive technology and browser you used, and any screenshots or recordings if possible.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We schedule regular updates to improve semantics, keyboard traps, focus order, alt text, captions, contrast, error messaging, and form labels. New features and content are reviewed for accessibility prior to release.

Third-Party Content

Our site may link to or embed content from third parties. We do not control their code and cannot guarantee their conformance. We encourage vendors and partners to follow WCAG 2.2 AA and provide accessible alternatives.
